  This is a nice, solid mount. However, when it arrived the plastic tilt adjustment knobs (4) were broken into many little pieces. I replaced these with regular bolts from Home Depot. The wall mounting bracket was not level compared to the TV mounting arms, so I had to adjust in mounting to the wall. It holds the TV well and moves nicely. Good but not perfect, I would likely purchase again because the price is the most competitive and it really holds the TV well (so far).

  I purchased this mount for my 52 Inch Sony LCD. It looks good, mounts easily and works well. You will not find a mount for the money to compare anywhere. The instructions are not great, but it is pretty simple to figure out. When my mount arrived two of the plastic knobs were cracked, but I emailed them and they quickly replaced them within a week. This is the fourth mount I have purchased from Cheetah and I could not be happier with the product and support. Great Deal!

  We purchased three Cheetah mounts for displays up to 180 lbs for our new home, to be paired with two 52″ Samsung displays and one 46″ display. My contractor installed the mounts and displays without any issue (so I can’t personally comment on the difficulty of installation).

  The mounts are of heavy steel and appear very sturdy. The articulation is a great feature, and really makes our great room home theater system work. Our main seating area is centered on a floor-to-ceiling stone chimney, necessitating a significant offset in placement of the TV (we really didn’t want to mount it over the mantle, competing with the fireplace). As such, the 52″ LCD is mounted about five feet to the left of the hearth. The Cheetah mount permits us to pull the display a foot out into the room, then angle it at about 45 degrees, which makes for a fine viewing angle for all the seats in the room. When we’re not watching, we can push it back against the wall (where it can also be seen well from the kitchen / dining area), where it sits about 6 inches out from the wall… not bad considering the range of articulation.

  My only complaint about these mounts is that one of the three came through from the vendor with broken plastic knobs. No doubt I should have returned the mount, but I opted for putting it up in my game room, where it wouldn’t be visible even when the screen is pulled out from the wall; I just couldn’t deal with the hassle of packing up and shipping a 35 lb + item. Check yours carefully when you receive it.

  Just exactly as intended. Strong. well built, flexible and an ideal example of really good product engineering. A real “BULL-DOG” of a product.

  I read the reviews about the problems some encountered while installing this mount and was a little hesitant to purchase at first. But the price convinced me other wise.
  The mount arrived on time from vendor and was easy to install.
  Because of its structure, I was able to cable tie all my cables on the inside parts of the structure and have a professional finish.
  Overall a great buy.

  Not a bad value, here are some observations:
  -Directions are sufficient. It took me about 45 minutes with the help of my roommate.
  -You absolutely must use a stud finder. Once you are in the studs it is very stable.
  -I hung from the wall plate (I weigh 180) when we were finished mounting it to test. It held me no problem.
  -My TV is 40″ you can see the wall mount behind the TV from almost any angle except straight on. So, if that’ll bother you don’t buy it.
  -The TV hangs off the wall so you can see the wall mount very obviously from the side.

  In summary, this wall mount does its job nicely for the price. It’s not quite as nice and streamlined as my roommate’s mount, but his was over $200.00.

  I was nervous about mounting my 40″ tv myself, but it was pretty easy! all the hardware and instructions were included, and the mount feels really solid! A TON cheaper than paying someone hundreds to do this easy job!

  I’m sooo glad I found this online rather than spending $200 or more in the stores. This was easy to install and looks great. The only thing we aren’t real crazy about is the top it does seem out fairly far from the wall, but we did want a tilting bracket. HIGHLY recommend this!!

  I used this bracket to mount my Toshiba 55sv670u…a 121 lbs behemoth. the brackets are pretty easy to install and work really well. I was initially worried that I was going to have trouble finding three studs to mount to in the 34 or so inches the wall bracket provides, but I was able to mount quite securely.

  The one and only thing that I ran into was that I sheared the heads off of the bolts when ratcheting them on. The lag bolts are crap. I went to the hardware store and spent $9 on higher quality bolts and was very happy with it afterward. I can’t say this surprised me, that low grade bolt is pretty common among all these kits. My friend spent twice as much on his and had the same problem.

  Once installed I tested it by hanging myself from it for 45 seconds (I weigh 280lbs) and the brackets did not bend nor budge. I was content that my TV would be safe hanging there.

  This product is perfect as everyone has described. It took me over 30 minutes to install, but I measure more than once and over stress on getting it right the first time.

  This works great for my 42″ Toshiba flat screen. Mount the bracket to the studs on the wall, install the hanging piece on the back of the TV (easy to do) and hang the tv mount to the bracket and lock it in. I was surprised at how quick we hung the TV to the wall bracket - it matched right up.

  A great price too.

  I just installed this wall mount for use with a 42″ Philips plasma screen TV. As you can see from the picture, the mount basically consists of two plates connected by an articulating arm, which provides the swivel action. The TV is secured to the larger of the two plates via the supplied brackets, which provide the tilt action. The mount itself comes pre-assembled and thus requires only installation onto the wall; similarly, the brackets are also pre-assembled (with the exception of a pair of adjustment knobs for the tilt mechanism which for some reason are not mentioned at all in the installation instructions), and need only be screwed into the back of the TV.

  Despite some headaches presented by the construction of my wall (I rent an apartment in an old building in Brooklyn where there is apparently an inch-and-a-half of plaster overlying drywall and studs), I was able to install the smaller plate into the wall using some cheap-but-sturdy toggler anchors from the local hardware store, without a problem.

  Where I did run into a problem was when I mounted the TV to the larger of the two plates. Basically, though the mount seems solidly constructed and holds up just fine, it seems as though the articulating arm isn’t strong enough at the joint, which causes a distinct and noticeable (about 3-5 degrees or so) right-sided droop to the TV; this despite the fact that the smaller plate affixed to the wall is perfectly level. Now, given that the mount is rated for TVs up to 55″, I don’t think my 42″ TV is outside of its reported weight range. So, given that the wall plate is level, and eliminating the weight of the TV as the source of the problem, I can only chalk it up to a design or manufacturing defect.

  Now, the droop makes the whole thing look kind of sloppy, though in truth it doesn’t really affect the viewing experience all that much; it’s slight enough so that you don’t notice it at all once you’re engrossed in whatever it is you’re watching. And this is definitely the cheapest tilt-and-swivel mount I’ve been able to find, which offsets a little bit of my disappointment. In sum, I’d say I’m satisfied enough that I won’t bother to go through the hassle of trying to return it, but if I were to do it all over again I might have saved up for a slightly more expensive model from a different manufacturer.

  With the exception of the fact that you need to purchase 20′ cables vs. 10′ cables so that it can actually extend, its great. The extra cost of the cables is not a big deal if you get online. The complaint I heard was that it stuck off the wall more than the flush mount one. But to me it was worth being able to move the TV around the room. Have plenty of zip ties to make the cable snake along the arm. Install tip, choose how you will view tv, on the wall flush or extended. It is not possible to have both positions 100% level (if you even care, it is still between the lines on the bubble level)
  Would purchase again.
